Multiverse of Madness Review

Hello, everyone! Welcome to my blog where I share my thoughts and opinions on the latest and greatest movies and TV shows. Today, I’m going to talk about one of the most anticipated movies of 2023: **Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness**. I just watched the official trailer on YouTube and I’m super excited to see it in theaters on May 6. Here are some of the reasons why:

– The movie is a sequel to the 2016 hit **Doctor Strange**, which introduced us to the mystical world of sorcery and alternate dimensions. Benedict Cumberbatch returns as the titular hero, who is now the Sorcerer Supreme and protector of Earth from magical threats. He also appeared in **Avengers: Infinity War** and **Avengers: Endgame**, where he played a crucial role in defeating Thanos and restoring half of the universe.

– The movie is also a follow-up to the 2021 Disney+ series **WandaVision**, which explored the aftermath of Wanda Maximoff’s grief and trauma following the death of her lover Vision. Elizabeth Olsen reprises her role as Wanda, who is now known as the Scarlet Witch and has unlocked her full potential as a powerful magic user. She also has a mysterious connection to the multiverse, which is the main theme of the movie.

– The movie promises to be a mind-bending adventure that will take us to different realities and timelines, where anything can happen. The trailer shows us glimpses of some of the places and characters we will encounter, such as a dark version of New York City, a tentacled monster, a young girl who might be America Chavez (a superhero who can travel between dimensions), and a familiar face from Doctor Strange’s past: Baron Mordo (played by Chiwetel Ejiofor), who was his ally turned enemy in the first movie.

– The movie is directed by Sam Raimi, who is best known for his work on the original **Spider-Man** trilogy starring Tobey Maguire. Raimi is a master of blending horror, comedy, and action, which are all elements that suit Doctor Strange’s character and story. He also has a history with Marvel comics, as he was a fan of Doctor Strange since he was a kid and even referenced him in Spider-Man 2.

– The movie is part of Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which is the next chapter of the epic saga that started in 2008 with **Iron Man**. Phase Four will explore new characters, stories, and genres, while also expanding on the existing ones. Some of the other movies and shows that are part of Phase Four are **Black Widow**, **Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings**, **Eternals**, **Spider-Man: No Way Home**, **Hawkeye**, **Ms. Marvel**, **The Marvels**, **Thor: Love and Thunder**, **Black Panther: Wakanda Forever**, **The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special**, **Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania**, **Moon Knight**, **She-Hulk**, **Secret Invasion**, **Ironheart**, **Armor Wars**, **I Am Groot**, **Blade**, **Fantastic Four**, and more.

So, these are some of the reasons why I’m super hyped for **Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness**. I think it will be one of the best movies of 2023 and a game-changer for the MCU.
